Introduction
Our 5
self catering cottages are converted from former farm buildings and located
in the grounds of the owner’s property. Long Barn, Welsh Cottage and Hop
Pickers Cottage are set in a south facing walled garden. Hop Store and the
Kiln cottages are in a courtyard setting with access to the walled garden.
Aylton is a small hamlet four mile from Ledbury. All our cottages are non
smoking and one well behaved pet is welcome in each cottage; a charge is
made for this.
We have
tried to provide as much information as possible in this statement, if you
have any queries please do call. We look forward to welcoming you.
Pre-Arrival
§
We have a colour
brochure and our own website.
§
Bookings and
enquires can be made via telephone or email.
§
Payment by cheque
unless booking made at short notice when cash on arrival may be requested.
§
A car is
advisable as public transport is very limited.
§
The nearest bus
stop (Pool End) is on the Hereford to Ledbury road (A438) which is approx. a
30 minute walk away.
§
The nearest train
station is in Ledbury and is 4 miles away. DRM bus 476 runs from outside the
station stopping at Pool End on its way to Hereford.
Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
§
There is off
street parking available for one vehicle per cottage. There is limited room
for further vehicles if required in other areas of the site.
§
As a rule the
owners are on-site to greet new arrivals and answer any questions. However,
if this is not possible arrangements for key collection are made in advance.
§

details are outlined within the individual descriptions of the cottages.
Garden
§
A walled garden
with lawn, flower bed to one side and seating is available to all residents
of the cottages. Approx. size 11m x 15m.
§
Each cottage has
its own patio area with furniture as well as a portable BBQ.
Utility
§
The Utility is
situated between the Long Barn and Welsh Cottages. The path leading up to
the utility is .55m wide. The door opens outwards and is .81m wide hinged on
the right. The key lock height is 1.12m.
§
The utility has a
pay phone, washing machine, small tumble dryer and washing line as well as
information leaflets on display.
§
The telephone
height is 1.2m, tumble dryer height to handle of door is .75m and washing
machine height to handle of door .60m. Worktop height is .93m and has an
inset sink.
§
A small charge is
made via an honesty box for the washing machine and tumble dryer.
§
Free space in the
utility is 1m x .90m.
