Frequently asked questions
If you can’t find the answer to your question here, please don’t hesitate to give us a call or drop us a line.
Click on the ‘Book Now’ button in the top right corner of this page, then enter your dates and the number of guests into the search tool and it will search for availability across all five of our cottages. Select your cottage, then follow the instructions to send us your booking request.
Our cottages are available for 3-night breaks or weekly stays, starting any day. If you have any questions or you’d like to book a more flexible number of days, please drop us an email or give us a call.
If you like, you can book via email or by giving us a call, if you prefer speaking to a human!
If you need to cancel your booking, we will try to re-let the cottage and will refund you (less your non-refundable deposit) if we do. So do let us know as soon as possible if you need to cancel.
If you would like to change your booking, we will gladly transfer your deposit and will be as flexible as possible to accommodate you. Your new dates may fall into a period with higher rates.
We are taking all necessary measures and following Government guidelines to make sure guests are safe, while still being able to enjoy their stay here with us. Please see our dedicated COVID precautions section here.
Check-in is from 4pm and check-out is by 10am on your departure day. If you’d like to arrive a little earlier or leave a bit later, please ask, we’ll be as flexible as we possibly can.
Yes we do. Wi-Fi is accessible from all cottages. Some things are beyond our control (including BT!), so we cannot guarantee Wi-Fi availability.
Of course, well-behaved, house-trained dogs up to medium size are always welcome! We charge £15 and we have a maximum of two per cottage. We also ask that owners read and follow our dog house rules, which you can find here.
Yes, we set aside one of our cottages, Kiln, to be completely pet-free. Discover Kiln cottage here
The Nest is our nearest shop, just 4 or 5 minutes away by car. It stocks an amazing range of delicious local produce as well as groceries. Ledbury is about 10 minutes’ drive and there you’ll find supermarkets (Tesco, Aldi & Co-Op) and a wonderful range of independent shops.
Yes, all the major supermarkets deliver here. Please contact us before booking your delivery slot.
Absolutely! We have two cottages with two bedrooms and a lovely communal garden for children to enjoy. We have a cot and high chairs available for your use (you will need to bring your own cot bedding). Please let us know in advance if you need either or both.
You’ll also find a fabulous range of activities that will keep children of all ages happy. Our Family Days Out section is full of great ideas for families.
In response to guests’ wishes, we have taken the decision to be completely smoke-free. That includes smoking on the patio areas outside cottages, as a courtesy to fellow guests.
If something goes wrong during your stay, please let us know immediately so we can put it right for you as soon as possible. Come to our door, message or call us.
Our cottages are heated by storage heaters and all but one (Kiln) also have gas-fired log burner style stove.
Storage heaters charge up over night and discharge their heat over the following day. The heaters will be on the optimum setting for your stay. The input dial dictates how much charge the heater receives over night and the output dial dictates how quickly the heat is released over the day.
Gas-fired stoves provide instant heat whenever needed. To use, first ensure the gas supply is turned on at the pipe, push in the dial on the right had side and twist until you hear a click. Look (or listen) for the pilot light igniting and keep dial push din for 30 seconds. Release and turn to ignite the main gas supply.
We are located in a rural area. So, as well as all the good stuff, such as beautiful scenery, birdsong, fresh air and starry skies, the countryside is full of life and different seasons and weather bring different visitors – spiders, flies, ants etc. There may also be occasional agricultural smells and noise, but it’s all part of this wonderful part of the world!
